Miss Aggie is home for the duration prior to her wedding. We went nuts buying vintage Butterick and Vogue patterns when they went on sale a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been practicing and tuning my fitting skills on her. I saw this pattern made up on Gertie’s New Blog for Better Sewing and knew that Miss Aggie needed her version of the dress. Miss Aggie agreed so the project began. Oh, yes, my Miss Aggie managed to change her measurements since Christmas. Although according to the pattern she was a 14 in the upper body, her body was swimming in the fabric. I was able to insert the single lapped zipper in without any basting or ripping out stitches which was amazing. As soon as Miss Aggie makes her crinoline, I’ll have pictures posted of the work of art.

Say goodbye to my old blog “Bobcats, Aggies, and Elks”. I couldn’t remember my password and couldn’t get the “change the password” function to send me the activation for a new password so I”m starting over. *sigh*
This promises to be a very busy year as Miss Aggie and Junior Engineer are getting married in June. I hope she’s keeping up with everything as all the Geek and I seem to be doing is writing deposit checks for various venues. Since she felt our church wasn’t suited for wedding pictures, the ceremony will be at the Marty Leonard Chapel. The windows in the chapel caused us to have to use a photographer who has had experience with the chapel.
